Children of Kabale is a non-profit organization founded in April 2022 by Dominique and Corinne Godin. The organization aims to improve the living conditions, education, and healthcare of 38 disadvantaged children in Kabale, Uganda.
Who founded The Children of Kabale?
The organization was founded by Dominique Godin and his wife Corinne. Dominique retired in 2021 after a long career in industry and has a deep passion for helping children in Africa.
What inspired the creation of The Children of Kabale?
The inspiration came in November 2021 when Dominique learned about Nahwera Meron, who was caring for 38 disadvantaged children in Kabale. Moved by their plight, Dominique visited Kabale and decided to take action to improve their living conditions.

- Ensured all children attend school, with some as half-boarders and others as full boarders.
- Increased meal frequency from four times a week to 2-3 meals per day.
- Rented additional apartments to provide better facilities for the children.

The charity is mostly funded by a network of donors and sponsors. Every Euro received is going to the Children. There are no structural costs and all trips to Uganda since January 2022 have been funded of own personal money.
